Subtraction cutting trousers

While working with my parnter we decided to experiment more with subtraction pattern cutting by applying it to a pair of half size trousers. The process is similar to that of the dress, only each leg needs to be made seperately and sewn together at the end.

While the outcome isn't something I would like to take further in terms of silouette, it has given me a much better idea of how the placement of the circles affects the shape and fall of the fabric. The bottom part of the trouser legs are interesting as they twist alot, but there is far too much fabric in the tunnels. Also, we used a stiffer fabric and found that it helped give the garment a much more defined shape, so this is something to consider in further experiments with subtraction cutting.
